Birch Bluff Road
Birch Bluff Road was reconstructed to add municipal water to an area of the city known to have high levels of arsenic in private wells and address a number of drainage issues along the corridor.
The project included full depth reconstruction, addition of curb & gutter, drain-tile, stormwater improvements, and the extension of an 8” diameter municipal watermain and services to all properties in the project area.
The estimated costs through August 2024, including project design, land acquisition, construction, and inspections are $4.76M. The project was funded through a combination of street and utility bonds, and the City’s Water, Sanitary Sewer, and Storm Sewer Funds. The total 2023 project CIP was $5.5M.
