Starting May 20, Tonka Bay's 2024 street and utility project will begin. The project area includes Birch Bluff Road, Pleasant Avenue and Brentwood Avenue. The contractor’s schedule is anticipated to be:
- May 20: start on Pleasant Avenue
- June: start on Birch Bluff Road
- August: start on Brentwood Avenue
Working hours are weekdays from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. No work is permitted on Sundays.

Immediate impacts
Starting May 20, Pleasant Avenue will be closed for a week from Birch Bluff Road to just before the property driveways west of Lilah Lane. Properties on Pleasant Avenue from Manitou Road to Lilah Lane will be connected to temporary water.
