The City Council will gather public feedback during a Truth-In-Taxation meeting before finalizing the 2026 property tax levy and budget. This meeting is scheduled for December 8th. It is important to note that this specific forum is designed for general input on the overall budget and levy, not for discussing individual property assessments. Discussions regarding individual property values were addressed earlier in the year through the Open Book and Board of Review process conducted by Hennepin County. A preliminary overview of the proposed 2026 budgets, levies, and the 2026-2035 Capital Improvement Plan, which will be formally reviewed at the December 8th meeting, will be presented at the November 24th Work Session.
Work Session Item 2.B provides complete details on all proposed fund budgets, levies, and the capital improvement plan for 2026. The November 24 Work Session will be held at 5:30 p.m. at Shorewood City Hall. This is the final review of the proposed 2026 Budget and 2026-2035 Capital Improvement Plan. As with past budget work sessions, public comment may be taken.
The Truth-in-Taxation meeting will be held during the regular City Council meeting at 7:00 p.m. at Shorewood City Hall and online via zoom.
