Where to Vote on Election Day
In 2022, Shorewood's Legislative District split into District 45A and District 45B during Redistricting. This resulted in Shorewood having to redraw Precinct boundaries. Use the Minnesota Secretary of State online poll finder to look up your polling location.
Polling locations are open on Election Day from 7 a.m. - 8 p.m.
The polling locations map will show what ward and precinct you are in. Remember, you must vote at your designated polling place based on the address where you maintain residence. If you have any questions, call Shorewood City Hall at 952-960-7900.

Applying for an absentee ballot
There are several ways to get an application:
- Apply online
- Print and mail a paper absentee ballot application to Hennepin County elections.
- Contact the elections office at 952-960-7900 to have an absentee ballot application mailed to you.
Once your completed application is received, an election official will mail your ballot to you during the absentee voting period which begins 46 days before every election.
To request an application in an alternative format such as Braille, call 1-877-600-8683.
Deadline to apply
You can apply for a ballot any time during the year, except on Election Day. If you plan to vote through the mail, remember to leave time for election officials to mail your ballot, and for you to complete and return it on or before Election Day.
Can I have applications sent automatically?
You can have paper applications sent to you before each election. Complete and return the Minnesota application to automatically receive absentee ballot applications form to Hennepin County Elections to have an absentee ballot application automatically mailed to you before each election. Applications are mailed at least 60 days before an election.
