Shorewood is a little bit city and a little bit country. It's what everyone loves about the city–even wildlife. Knowing how to live with urban wildlife is important.
- No hunting or trapping of wildlife is permitted in the city limits unless in specific programs, or designed to kill rats, mice, gophers or moles; live traps for nuisance animals are permitted if no animal remains longer than 12 to hours. (Ord. 703)
- Do not feed deer and similar wildlife. (Ord. 704)
